Volunteer of the Year Award
Each year since 1991, the Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre and the OCTC Foundation have honoured one of our dedicated volunteers with the OCTC Volunteer of the Year Award.
About the OCTC Volunteer of the Year Award
In memory of the late Robert McGibbon, in 1991 the Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre (OCTC) established a Volunteer of the Year Award which is presented annually at the OCTC Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
Nominations for the award are submitted by OCTC volunteers and staff. Nominees for the OCTC Volunteer of the Year Award should exhibit the characteristics exemplified by the award's inspiration, Mr. McGibbon, who was an exceptional volunteer demonstrating reliability, cheerfulness, commitment and a sincere interest in the well being of OCTC clients and of the Centre itself.
The Current OCTC Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient
OCTC's 2016 Volunteer of the Year is Catherine Fyfe, who since 2007 has contributed close to 700 hours to various programs, including the preschool and OCTC school. Read more...
