OCTC DAY AT THE OTTAWA CHAMPIONS
OCTC DAY AT THE OTTAWA CHAMPIONS - June 7, 2015, 1:35 p.m.
Ottawa is welcoming a brand new professional baseball franchise in 2015 – the Ottawa Champions.
The Ottawa Champions are proud to support the Miracle League of Ottawa. The Miracle League of Ottawa aims to provide special-needs children, young adults and adults the opportunity to play the game of baseball (and other sports) on a purpose-built, “Miracle Field”. The Miracle League’s goal is to facilitate this opportunity on a safe and more enjoyable custom-designed field with a cushioned rubberized surface to help prevent injuries. A Field may also include wheelchair accessible dugouts and a completely flat surface to eliminate any barriers to wheelchair-bound, visually impaired players with special needs. The complex will also include a fully accessible playground built on the same base material.
The Ottawa Champions will be hosting the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre on June 7.
OCTC families, volunteers and staff are invited to contact Evelyne Paulauskas at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 613-688-2126 x 4316 for their free tickets (limited quantity).
